Alumni Reunion | 10th, 15th and 20th Anniversary
UIC Barcelona Alumni is organising a reunion for alums celebrating 10, 15 and 20 years since their graduation from UIC Barcelona.
This edition will bring together the graduating classes of 2006, 2011 and 2016 from the following degree programmes: Business Administration, Law, Humanities, Architecture, Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, Medicine, Nursing, Education, Dentistry and Physiotherapy.
The event will feature a lecture entitled “North to Paradise”, a story of resilience by Ousman Umar, founder of the NGO NASCO Feeding Minds.
Programme
At the end of the session, participants will be offered light refreshments. We look forward to seeing you there!
About the speaker
Ousman Oumar is the founder of NASCO Feeding Minds, an NGO that develops educational projects and computer classrooms in rural areas of Africa. The organisation aims to raise awareness about the challenges of migration and promotes training in new technologies as one of the main pathways out of poverty.
In 2019, he published the book North to Paradise, in which he recounts his journey to Europe, and in 2021, he received the Princess of Girona Social Award. He currently gives talks at companies and schools around the world.
