Career opportunities in Biomedical Engineering

.Alumni UIC Barcelona’s Career Services organises the first Career Opportunities Session for third- and fourth-year Biomedical Engineering students.
The session will take the form of a roundtable discussion featuring four alumni who will share their experiences after graduating, their professional journeys and their perspectives on the different career opportunities available in the sector. Students will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about various career paths, receive advice on planning their professional futures and ask the speakers questions.

The speakers will be:

• Anna Góngora, Hospital Digital Services IT Specialist at B. Braun Group (Biomedical Engineering, 2025).
• Gabriela Schmidt, Healthcare Sell-Out Advisor at Procter & Gamble (Biomedical Engineering, 2023).
• Sergi Chavalés, Biomedical Engineer at Ribopro (Biomedical Engineering, 2024).
• Marta García, Global Market Access & Pricing Specialist at Sanofi (Biomedical Engineering, 2023).

Their experiences will offer insights into different professional fields, including the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, business management in the biomedical sector and medical devices.

The roundtable will be moderated by Jenifer Olmos, lecturer and Alumni coordinator for the Biomedical Engineering degree.
