What Does It Mean to Be a Humanist Today, in a World Dominated by AI?
Alumni UIC Barcelona and the Faculty of Humanities are organising a new Humanities Gathering, a space for reflection and dialogue on the role of the humanities in a context shaped by the rapid development of artificial intelligence.
AI is transforming the way we work, learn and interact, but it also raises new questions about the role of people and what it means to be human in this new scenario.
Drawing on philosophy, the humanities and artificial intelligence research, Marco Schorlemmer and Gabriel Fernández-Borsot will discuss the challenges and opportunities arising from this context, as well as the value of a humanistic perspective today.
Marco Schorlemmer

Gabriel Fernández-Borsot
PhD in Transformative Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies, BA in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona (UB) and MSc in Industrial Engineering from UPC. He is a member of the Faculty of Humanities at UIC Barcelona and Core Faculty at Alef Trust.
