Alumni UIC Barcelona recently held the launch event for its Mexico City Chapter as part of its Territorial Network project, a key initiative in UIC Barcelona’s international expansion strategy.

On 16 May more than 40 alums from different regions across Mexico came together for the event, which provided an opportunity to share memories from their time at the University, reflect on their personal and professional growth and create new connections within the community.

During the meeting, the team of Alumni Ambassadors leading the Chapter, Laura Cantún, Àlex Casanova, Pedro Lamadrid and Alejandro Corral, presented the goals and challenges of this new chapter. The event was also attended by Frederic Van Dyck, director of Alumni UIC Barcelona.

The gathering featured a conference on artificial intelligence delivered by Analía Baño, CEO and co-founder of Cody, an Agentic AI platform, and Fernando Balado, co-CEO in Mexico of The International Business Hub.

The aim of the Territorial Network is to strengthen ties with the international alumni community by promoting activities that create value and support both their professional and personal development, while also reinforcing the presence of UIC Barcelona and its brand around the world.
