Alumni UIC Barcelona launches the second edition of the Professional Mentoring Program “Growing Together”

“Growing Together” allows UIC Barcelona Alumni, in the process of professional development, to receive guidance and learn from real experiences, while mentors—also Alumni—gain new perspectives and benefit from mutual learning.

Following the success of the first edition, Alumni UIC Barcelona is launching a new call for applications for Growing Together, the professional mentoring program that connects alumni at different stages of their careers, with the goal of fostering professional growth and strengthening intergenerational bonds.

A space for shared growth

Growing Together offers mentees—Alumni who graduated between 2021 and 2025—the opportunity to receive personalized guidance to help them shape their careers, define goals, or face professional changes.
Meanwhile, mentors—alumni with more than five years of professional experience—share their knowledge and lessons learned with the new generation of professionals trained at UIC Barcelona.

A structured program guided by experts

The second edition of the program will take place between January and April 2026. During this period, mentors and mentees will participate in exclusive training sessions designed to maximize the program’s impact and learning outcomes. These sessions will be led by César Fernández, an expert in mentoring and executive coaching, together with the Career Services team from the Alumni Department.

Applications open until 20 November

The call for applications will remain open until 20 November, 2025. Participation is free of charge and exclusive to UIC Barcelona Alumni.

Testimonials from the first edition

Participants from the previous edition highlighted the program’s value as a space for mutual growth and learning.

Claudia Soriano, Alumni of Business Administration + Industrial Production Engineering and mentee in the last edition, shared: “The Mentoring Program allows you to learn from your mentor’s experience, receiving both professional and personal advice and guidance, as well as constructive feedback and valuable insights from their career journey.”

Francisco Lopera, Alumni of Business Administration and Head of Midcaps Coverage at Deutsche Bank, and mentor in the previous edition, added:
“The mentor learns as much—or even more—from the mentee. Their fresh, unfiltered view of the professional world offers a very positive perspective and makes you reflect.”
