UIC Alumni launches the Bogotá Chapter

The new initiative creates a space where the more than 150 UIC alums living in Colombia can connect

UIC Alumni continues to expand its Regional Network with the launch of the Bogotá Alumni Chapter, a new space designed to bring together former University students who live, work or visit Bogotá and the surrounding area.

Colombia is home to more than 150 UIC graduates from different degree programmes and graduating classes, all connected by their shared experience at the University. Through this chapter, UIC Alumni aims to create opportunities for them to connect, encourage the exchange of experiences and help them discover different professional and personal perspectives.

The Chapter's board is comprised of four Alumni Regional Ambassadors, former students who volunteer their time to organise initiatives and activities for the alumni community:

  • Natalia Barbosa, Master's Degree in Art and Cultural Management (2016) and executive coordinator at MECA.
  • Germán Cardoso, Postgraduate Degree in Sports Journalism (2013) and Brand Experience & BTL director at TORNUS AGENCY.
  • Elkin Vargas, Master's Degree in International Cooperation: Sustainable Emergency Architecture (2011) and director of Buro DAP in Latin America.
  • Adriana Montenegro, Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management (2004) and commercial and marketing manager at Cusezar.

Upcoming gathering in Bogotá

The Chapter's inaugural event will take place in late November and will bring together UIC alums in Colombia. Further details about the event will be shared soon.

Any UIC graduates living in Colombia who would like to be part of this initiative can contact the Alumni team at alumni@uic.es to join the Chapter's WhatsApp group and receive updates about upcoming activities and events.
