Dentistry | 2016

The University allowed me to go beyond attending classes or doing work placements. I was able to study anthropology and ethics, which help us to be a little kinder in our daily work.
My dream was not to be a dentist. I didn’t start my career at the age of eighteen, like most. In 2008, in the midst of the crisis, I got married. At the time I was working as a designer, but the industry was badly affected. It was then that I ventured into the world of dentistry, and I ended up studying at UIC Barcelona when my first daughter was five months old. It was not an easy path, but it was worth it.
I started studying my degree with a five-month-old baby, I finished it with a four-and-a-half-year-old girl, a baby, and when I graduated I was pregnant with the third. Despite the circumstances, I enjoyed the ceremony and my classmates who were very welcoming and supportive of anyone hoping to advance with their studies.
