I have always found the UIC Barcelona work placement programme very useful. Students start working very early and I think that was key to my career. I’ve been working for 17 years now. That’s what you call fast!
After so many years at the same school, I remember being completely disorientated, lost and overwhelmed on the first day at the University. It was then that I started thinking beyond the present or the semester, and I made important decisions: what I wanted to be, what I wanted to do and how I was going to achieve it. In this sense, the University wakes you up and encourages you to look further.
At UIC Barcelona I made good friends and I still keep in touch with many of them. I love to know how my classmates are doing. We entered the labour market at a crucial moment, just before the financial crisis and a few years that changed the world.
